ArrayCore funding & Affiliation
The Whitaker Institute of Biomedical Engineering (WIBE) is an Organized Research Unit in UCSD, with the purpose of promoting and coordinating interdisciplinary interaction among faculty and studnets at the interfaces of engineering, biology and medicine. It is composed of one hundread faculty and research scientists in the Schools of Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Biological Sciences and Scripps Institution of Oceanography, as well as members of neighboring institutions. The Institute facilitates academia-industry cooperaion, holds seminars, workshops, and symposia to promote information exchange, generate new ideas and projects, and fosters interdisciplinary training. WIBE provides several core facilities. The ArrayCore, which is the microarray core facility of WIBE, is supported by funding from the Whitaker Fondation (PI: S. Chien)
